Gender equality is a cross-cutting issue in SELA’s Work Programme. For this reason, the Permanent Secretariat of SELA is joining forces to promote public policies that respond to the specific needs of women-led enterprises and ensure the sustainability and development of the business ecosystem in the region.

This edition of the publication highlights the importance of coordinating public policies that promote the reduction of the gender gap, with projects that help these enterprises face the challenges involved in adopting sustainable practices to add value to their operations and strengthen the region’s growth.

In addition, specific sustainability and corporate social responsibility projects are presented in countries such as Nicaragua, Uruguay, and Ecuador, which seek to improve the business capabilities of women-led MSMEs and promote sustainable business practices.
