In order to promote integration and sustainable and comprehensive development in the region, the Permanent Secretary of the Latin American and Caribbean Economic System (SELA), Ambassador Clarems Endara, signed on Tuesday a Framework Cooperation Agreement with Raúl Li Causi, President of the Bank of ALBA.
The Agreement establishes that the institutions will conduct cooperation activities in the field of productive articulation in Latin America and the Caribbean; identification of potential productive niches; as well as the promotion of links among economic actors in the countries of the region, which can boost commercial exchange.
The Bank of ALBA is an international financial institution whose objective is to promote the economic and social development of the member countries of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America – Peoples’ Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP).
The signing of the Framework Cooperation Agreement with the Bank of ALBA is part of SELA’s Work Programme, which is committed to convergence for development and integration among Latin American and Caribbean countries.
