In a joint effort to promote integration, cooperation and regional development in Latin America and the Caribbean, the Latin American and Caribbean Economic System (SELA) and the Universidad del Valle de México (UVM) have signed an Academic Collaboration Agreement that establishes the basis for a long-term strategic alliance.
This partnership aims to enhance the exchange of knowledge, generate innovative learning experiences and promote projects that contribute to strengthening the cultural, scientific and technological heritage of the region.
On 31 July 2025, both institutions signed an agreement ratifying their mutual commitment to collaboration in essential areas such as regional studies, conferences, seminars, diploma courses, dissemination of papers, and publication of articles.
Among the commitments assumed by the parties is the implementation of training and academic education programmes, as well as the development of research projects in areas of mutual interest.
This agreement represents an important step towards the consolidation of joint strategies to promote integration and cooperation in Latin America and the Caribbean. The collaboration between SELA and UVM will strengthen academic training, enhance regional research and promote the dissemination of knowledge that contributes to the well-being and sustainable development of Member States.
