Brussels, May 22, 2015.- On Wednesday 10th June 2015, El¿bieta Bieñkowska, European Commissioner for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurships and SMEs, and Neven Mimica, European Commissioner for International Cooperation and Development, will host the European Union (EU) – Community of Latin America and Caribbean States (CELAC) Business Summit under the theme «Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean: Promoting inclusive and sustainable growth by enhancing the role of Small and Medium Sized Enterprises».

The outcome of the Business Summit will be submitted as a formal recommendation to the EU-CELAC Heads of State and Government Summit (Brussels-Belgium, 10-11 June 2015) on the way forward to increase EU investment and business cooperation in Latin American and Caribbean countries.

The event will bring together representatives of the business community, financial institutions and policy makers from across EU and CELAC Member States.
