At the Pacific Alliance meeting of foreign ministers, Foreign Secretary Videgaray followed up on the agreements that have recently been reached. He also attended the ministerial meeting between the Foreign and Economy Ministers of the Pacific Alliance and MERCOSUR to discuss the possibility of an ongoing dialogue to encourage closer cooperation.
In addition, the Foreign Ministers reviewed the current ties between both blocs and discussed the regional and international agendas.
As part of Mexico’s deeper relations with the South American countries, Foreign Secretary Videgaray held a trilateral meeting with the Argentinian and Brazilian Foreign and Economy Ministers, and bilateral meetings with the Foreign Ministers of Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay.
